What You Will Be Doing
Are you passionate about aviation and eager to share your expertise? Join our team as a Senior Maintenance Trainer and play a crucial role in shaping the skills of our production employees and field support personnel. You will deliver top-notch training for aircraft maintenance flight operations and final assembly on cutting-edge 4th and 5th generation fighter aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and conduct comprehensive training sessions for aircraft maintenance flight operations and final assembly, ensuring all production employees and field support personnel are proficient.

- Develop criteria to assess the effectiveness of training activities and continuously refine programs based on feedback and performance metrics.

- Execute and maintain company-wide training initiatives using the Atlas learning management system, ensuring consistent process discipline and operational excellence.

- Maintain current knowledge of the latest technical advancements, training methodologies, and audiovisual techniques, and update courseware accordingly.

- Work closely with supervisors to determine training and certification needs, and coordinate with Subject Matter Experts to develop and revise training content.

- Prepare classrooms, set up training materials, and develop and update lesson plans and training aids to meet new training requirements.

You are a passionate and experienced aviation professional with a strong background in aircraft maintenance and training, particularly with 4th and 5th generation fighter aircraft. You excel in delivering engaging and effective instruction, continually improving programs based on data and feedback, and staying current with the latest technological advancements. Collaboration and problem-solving are your strengths, as you work effectively with supervisors and Subject Matter Experts to identify needs and develop comprehensive training materials. Must be a US Citizen
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance, flight operations.

- Experience in 4th or 5th gen Fighter Aircraft.

- Experience with instructional design and instructional delivery on maintenance and aircraft systems.

∙ Experience with inspection, repair, and operation of aircraft, aircraft systems, ground equipment, tools, and test equipment

- Experience with aircraft avionic systems such as Fire Control, COMM NAV, Penetrating Aids, Flight Control, Fuels etc.

- Electrical and Environmental experience in trouble shooting electrical systems and in building or repairing functions such as crimping, soldering, use of hot air sleeves.
Desired Skills:
Bachelor’s degree is a plus and will be taken into consideration when looking at experience.

Military aviation experience 4th and 5th gen fighters

Prefer F-16 and F-22 AVI/EE

Comprehensive knowledge in aircraft systems and ground operations related to military fighter aircraft.

Fighter aircraft flight operations experience to include flight line maintenance and operational checkout of applicable systems in assembly and flight operations.

Experience in aircraft manufacturing training including Instructional System Design (ISD) concepts to include analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation processes.

Able to establish and deliver training systems and/or conduct classroom and practical instruction to provide technical knowledge on installation and removal of components, testing, analysis, rework, adjustment, modification, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems at all levels of manufacturing operations. Provide support to production operations by helping to determine training needs; and delivering effective training.

Instructor skills including classroom lecture and lab performance demonstrations.

Strong verbal and written skills
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
