Job Responsibilities
Description:This individual will perform as JSF F-35 ALIS Manager in Misawa, Japan.
This position is the Autonomous Logistics Information System Lead for a new F-35 Squadron that will become operational in 2026.
This position will lead a team of systems, database, security, network and mission planning administrators and manage day-to-day technical priorities, operational issues, training, and ensure processes and checklists are properly administered and documented.
Interface with multiple internal and external customers to address operational needs and ALIS resource allocation. The team will consist of 12 admins to start and grow to 27 by the time a second squadron is stood up approximately two years later.
The selected individual should have a System Administrator, Database Administrator (DBA), and/or Software/System Engineer background.
In a leadership role capacity, responsible for providing the overall onsite maintenance and support of the system. The ALIS Manager serves as the primary point of contact for any questions or concerns raised by users.
Administrative responsibilities include updating systems and software consistent with the Patch Management Plan, Application troubleshooting/assistance performing backup and recovery, and monitoring system performance.
In case of a security incident, the ALIS Manager assists Security in investigating the incident, assessing system impacts, and restoring the system to normal operation.
Candidates must be able to attain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access.
System Administrator will perform duties to include the following: Backup/Restore/Disaster Recovery, Hardware/System Monitoring, System/Software/User Maintenance.
Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and acts as Subject Matter Expert for use of product suite. Coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Monitors and reviews security audit logs. Also, this candidate will serve as the point of contact to for the JSF Squadrons discussion during the flight, evaluation and maintenance activities.
The selected applicant selected may be required to work at deployed locations, work rotating shifts, and work in excess of 40 hours per week.
**This position requires deployments with USAF customer to overseas locations. Candidates must be willing and able to complete deployments and other travel as required**
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered as a candidate for this position you must:
Hold and maintain an active DoD IAT II Certification (i.e. Sec+, CCNA, CySA+, etc).
Hold an active or inactive DOD TS/SCI with an investigation within the last 6 years or be enrolled in Continuous Vetting
Have at least 3 years of IT experience of any combination in system/database/network administration
Be willing and able to deploy to international locations in support of the United States Air Force.
Have a proven history of success as a project lead and/or a functional manager.
Be an excellent communicator with strong writing and speaking skills.
Desired Skills:
To be considered as a candidate for this position you the following skills and/or experiences are highly desired:
It is strongly recommended that the selected candidate have at least 2 years experience working as an F-35 ALIS Technical or Functional Leader at a customer site.
At least five years experience working with the US Air Force or US Air National Guard on a Fighter Program (including active duty and/or as a contractor).
Experience working on an a 4th or 5th Generation Fighter Program.
Holds an F-35 program Clearance.
Experience working in a Special Access Program environment.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
