Description:Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Chief Engineer for the F-16 Program. This includes overseeing the design, development, and testing of products, as well as managing engineering schedules. The Production Chief Engineer will also work closely with other departments to ensure that production goals are met and that quality standards are maintained. This position will be located in Greenville, SC.

Role responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Provide program level technical leadership and integrity for specific and general areas of the production configuration. Provide independent review, and assessment for technical and programmatic issues. Provide senior engineering oversight for the Air System. Ensure production configurations are technically complete and viable. Support Program Chief Engineers regarding technical inquiries and ensure that arising issues are investigated and mitigated. While engaging with IPTs, provide technical oversight including oversight of subcontracts with suppliers. Engage on production, material review and flight operations questions for production aircraft, which includes assisting in Flight Clearances and overall safety of the aircraft. Planning and coordination of engineering effort required for SPO issuance of flight clearances in support of production acceptance flights and deliveries. Provide assessments for Chief Engineering regarding Prime Level Variances, Change Request (CRs), Deficiency Reports (DRs) and Supplier Variances. Provide technical oversight of the change management process. Revise/review command media processes as required. Review and concurrence for Aircraft and Material Surveys. The Chief Engineering Office also provides on-going support regarding audits, Flight Test Readiness Reviews, exportability of products, both internally and with the U.S. Government and partner international customers. Maintain the Interchangeable / Replaceable Working List (IRWL), Interchangeable Document Change Requests (IDCR) and chair I/R Board as needed, and review Change Requests impacts for IRWL parts.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s STEM degree required
• Experience leading a team or working in a production environment
• Excellent technical skills and knowledge of engineering principles and practices
• Experienced leader or individual contributor in air system design, development, and integration
• Experience in systems engineering in all phases of product development and sustainment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with others
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Desired Skills:
• Advanced degree with 15 years of engineering experience
• F-16 Platform experience
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
