Description:
Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment team as an Aircraft On-the-Job Trainer! Our team is responsible for supporting F-35 aircraft operations at Volkel, Netherlands to serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the area of F-35 Aircraft Maintenance, Joint Technical data, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Documentation, Action Request processing, and Formal On-The-Job (FOJT)Task training/Certifier.
What You Will Be Doing
Responsibilities include:
• Serve as the F-35 Training SME for the newly assigned aircraft maintenance crews.
• Train multiple trainees at a time on the ground handling, engine removal, and other component replacement required for the F-35 aircraft.
• Will require often and extended business travel (potentially with short notice) with the potential to support F-35 International Partner and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) locations.
• Must meet all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) requirements to perform assigned tasks / training. Must be available to work flexible schedule to cover nights and weekends as required.
• Support the existing F-35 sustainment contract for the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) as a long term expat/accompanied expatriate assignment at Volkel Air Base.
• Provide “over the shoulder” expertise and augment “touch labor” maintenance manpower as integrated members RNLAF-led organic Organization-level (O-level) Military Maintenance Organization (MMO).
• Personnel will perform O-level maintenance in accordance with RNLAF-approved F-35 technical data: Joint Technical Data (JTD), Urgent Field Notices (UFN), Action Requests (AR), and Interim Maintenance Procedures (IMP).
• Document maintenance performed in the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS).
• May perform all maintenance functions, to include any “corrected by” or “inspected by” tasks, for which they are both qualified and authorized by the RNLAF and not restricted by site’s USG-approved Consolidated Ground Operations Plan (CGOP).
• In order to remain aligned with RNLAF MMO leadership priorities, LM FOJT personnel will take daily direction from the LM Site Manager or Maintenance Manager.
•This is an operational support role within an active fighter unit. LM FOJT personnel must be willing and able to travel for military deployments/detachments for extended periods of time dependent upon operational needs.
•Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Must possess at minimum Interim Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain a Final Secret Security Clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:
• At least 6 years Aircraft Maintenance experience without a Bachelor’s degree. Three (3) years’ experience will be accepted for candidates that have a Bachelor’s from an accredited college. Related experience must include the following:
• Must have two (2) years F-35 aircraft maintenance or production experience.
• Must be proficient in the use of the basic Microsoft office suite, particularly must be functional in development of databases and spreadsheets.
• Must have in-depth working knowledge of the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS).
Desired Skills:
The following Desired Skills are not required, but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the other candidates.
• OJT trainer experience
• 7 Level/Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) or Equivalent
• F-35 CTOL experience
• F-35 Egress/Seat Certifications
• F-35 Engine Turn/Run Certification
• F-35 Engine removal and installation experience
• Knowledgeable of OSHA, AFOSH, NAVOSH, and state safety and health standards and regulations
• Experience supporting F-35 international partners
• Possession of a current US passport with validity through at least July 2026 is desired.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
