You will be the Mechanical Design Engineering Technology Manager (ETM) for the Launcher Fire Control System development team, leading a small team of direct reports and serving as the IPT lead for HIMARS and M270 programs. Our team is responsible for delivering high-quality engineering solutions for CFCS, CFCS Block III, and Anti-Jam development programs.



What You Will Be Doing
As the Mechanical Design Engineering Technology Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical oversight of the design team, creating new and updated designs, and collaborating with program IPT leads and chief engineers to resolve hardware issues. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, procurement, and program management, to drive technical excellence and program execution.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing technical oversight of the design team and SMEs
• Creating new and updated designs, including 3D models, drawings, and technical data packages
• Collaborating with program IPT leads and chief engineers to resolve hardware issues
• Coordinating employee recruitment, selection, and training, as well as performance assessments and salary planning
• Providing technical coaching and mentoring to team members
• Advocating for employees in opportunity discussions and promoting engineering competency development

This position is in Grand Prairie, TX.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
-Demonstrated mechanical engineering experience, including Creo/Windchill 3D CAD, component/assembly and overall system integration design,
GD&T fluency, tolerance analysis, and Material Review Board defect disposition and the ability to perform failure analysis.
- Small team management experience including task planning, generating Basis-Of Estimates (BOEs) and providing proposal support, demonstrated ability to plan, propose, and manage functional budgets and schedules, employee development and mentoring.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, including diplomatic issue resolution.
Desired Skills:
Desired Skills / Experience: Demonstrated knowledge on model based transformation initiatives and ability to identify opportunities for their incorporation onto the various development programs,
SAP familiarity to allow interaction with production, quality, procurement, perform MRBE duties, and subcontract technical management.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
