THE WORK
Lockheed Martin RMS and Derco, a Lockheed Martin Company, are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Project Management Representative to support the Japan Ministry of Defense C-130 sustainment programs. The Project Representative will be part of an integrated team providing logistical and technical sustainment to the customer (a Japanese MRO), the Japan Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF), the Japan Air Self Defense Force (JASDF), and other key parties as required to ensure the successful contract execution. This will involve close coordination with team members in both the USA and Japan. Strong communication and time management skills, as well as the ability to effectively coordinate with virtual teams spread around the world, are key requirements for this position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between program management, planning, the program team, and customer(s).
• Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
• Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Familiarity with analytics and use of various tools such as Excel, Tableau, etc. to be able to make data driven decisions and recommendations.
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
• Provides support of business development and capture activities for Japan and other markets as needed.
• Collaborates on and monitors performance of Statements of Work.
• Monitors program performance and risks, identifies problem areas/ opportunities for improvement, and recommends solutions for the program.
• Assists in tracking program KPI's, financial performance, and preparing for program reviews.

Basic Qualifications:
Successful candidate will have demonstrated leading multi-functional teams in a dynamic environment with internal and external customers. Key qualifications include:

• Program/ Project Management experience particularly with international customers.
• Strong communications skills and demonstrated ability to establish positive relationships with key customers and suppliers.
• Proven ability to successfully work with geographically dispersed teams with a record of delivering positive results.
• Familiarity with MS Excel basic data tools (pivot tables, vlookup, macros, etc.) as well as database software such as Tableau.
• Possess strong financial acumen and understanding of program financial metrics and how to assess performance.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders with differing goals and objectives.
• Must be able to excel in fast-paced, high-demand environments with the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task.
• Familiarity with MS Office suite particularly Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Must be willing and able to travel (CONUS and OCONUS) as required.
Desired Skills:
• Proven experience executing international sustainment and/ or PBL contracts.
• Prior experience with Japanese customers and contracting.
• Familiarity with Reliability Engineering Analysis, concepts and tools.
• Familiarity with aerospace maintenance documentation and ability to interpret them, including maintenance manuals, illustrated parts breakdown (IPB), structural repair manual (SRM), etc.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
