Join the J830 Quality North team at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics and play a critical role in ensuring mission success. As an Inspector – Assembly A in Fort Worth, TX, you’ll support the Final Production team on the cutting-edge F-35 program. Your expertise in inspections and operational checks will help uphold our commitment to delivering aerospace vehicles that meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and compliance.
What You Will Be Doing
- Perform final inspections and operational checks on specialized systems, including electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, power plants, rigging, controls, and structural components.
- Inspect work for completeness, proper function, and conformance to engineering specifications and quality standards.
- Identify, document, and report non-conforming conditions and recommend or initiate necessary corrective actions.
- Evaluate Material Review Board (MRB) items for acceptability following disposition, ensuring compliance with engineering and quality criteria.
- Support corrective action processes and collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve discrepancies quickly and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable procedures, documentation requirements, and customer specifications.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience with the following:
• Read and interpret Engineering drawings.
• Use precision measurement equipment.
• Use computer programs such as Word, Excel, etc..
• Ability to pass Inspector Assessment
Desired Skills:
• Experience with F-35 or military aircraft programs.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills with experience using inspection records and quality systems
• Prior experience performing inspections in an aerospace, defense, or manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of aircraft systems including electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and/or structural components.
• Familiarity with MRB processes, AS9100, and other aerospace quality standards.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, and QA teams.
• Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma exposure is a plus.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
