This role will offer you the following daily challenges:

o Primarily responsible for the evaluation of suppliers’ commercial claims and supporting documentation.
o Performs and documents commerciality claims, market research and price reasonableness assessment on a variety of proposals/contracts for the development, production, services and sustainment of major systems.
o Will be responsible for conducting, documenting, guiding, and supporting reviews of items proposed by suppliers with buyers, Management, Engineers and vendors to determine if such items qualify as “commercial items” pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation 2.101 and Lockheed Martin's internal policies and procedures.
o Will be expected to work closely with Lockheed Martin's suppliers, other Supply Management personnel, Lockheed Martin's Engineers, and Attorneys.
o Will also be responsible for evaluating and updating relevant policies and procedures and the creation of standard work to ensure compliance with procedural
and regulatory requirements.
o Analyzes supplier's projected estimated costs for reasonableness, reviewing in detail the significant direct cost elements of material, labor, and special tooling.
o Evaluations of supplier proposals and all commercial documentation that are provided to the government customer and used in prime proposal pricing.
o Will be responsible for reviewing commerciality request, identifying gaps, and collecting required documentation to build compliant commercial claims.
o Build up library of useful resources that can be used across commerciality claims, find efficiencies and improve process when possible.
o Represents organization as a Sub-contacts analysis supporting prime negotiations on contracts or projects.
o Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
o Exerts influence on the overall proposal settlements which support Supply Chain objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
o Prevents erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives, which would normally have a serious effect upon the administration of the organization.
o Plan and participate in training of commerciality, market research, price reasonableness and price analysis practices.
Basic Qualifications:
To be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• 3+ years of professional government supply chain procurement experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Price Analysis or Price Reasonableness.
• Previous experience in supporting hardware developmental or qualification efforts.
• Previous experience with service contracts.
• Professional experience with FAR/DFAR and TINA.
Desired Skills:
To be successful, ideally, you should also have:

• 1+ years of experience in: Commercial Item Determination [The term ‘commercial item’ includes items (including part numbers when applicable) and services (See FAR 2.101)]
• Experience with FFP, T&M, LTPA contracts.
• Defense contracting industry experience and experience with commercial item determinations is preferred.
• The candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude who is able to take ownership of projects and interact in a professional manner with suppliers.
• Demonstrated ability to develop sound negotiation strategies.
• Ability to interpret and understand technical and financial data.
• Possess effective relationship-building skills with peers, leadership, and suppliers.
• You bring positivity and enthusiasm to every project you touch. In addition to the work, you love being part of a team and working collaboratively through the process.
• Previous experience with Public Speaking and negotiations is desired.
• Proven exceptional strategic communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $105,000 - $197,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $91,300 - $175,000 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
