THE WORK

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Senior Manager, Supplier Performance to ensure that all suppliers meet Sikorsky Production Operations’ quality standards. This role involves:
• Managing relationships with suppliers and conducting audits.
• Augmenting work transitions and assessing product configuration.
• Evaluating process capability and reliability.
• Implementing corrective actions to improve supply chain resiliency.
• Working cross-functionally with Quality Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure quality standards and product requirements are met across components fabricated and assembled by key suppliers.
• This role requires approximately 50% domestic travel.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Ensuring supplier contract requirements are implemented and verified.
• Monitoring quality control activities and systems at supplier facilities and maintaining feedback loops.
• Performing surveillance to ensure supplier conformance to company and program requirements.
• Conducting source inspections (both in process and final), first articles, manufacturing process validations, source surveillance, and special process audits, as applicable.
• Providing internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions related to supplier discrepancies.
• Supporting supplier failure investigations as required.
• Ensuring control of supplier nonconforming items, conducting analyses, and monitoring the effectiveness of corrective actions at the supplier.

WHO YOU ARE

You are a passionate and driven professional with extensive experience in supplier performance management. You have:
• At least 10 years of experience in supplier quality or performance management within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• A commitment to continuous improvement and quality assurance.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 50% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a concentration related to Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related manufacturing sciences with 15+ years of experience
• 10+ years manufacturing experience
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment, including working with suppliers
• In-depth knowledge and experience in Quality processes and procedures
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated aerospace manufacturing knowledge in fabrication / assembly tooling, GD&T, tolerance stack up analysis, determinant assembly, and last article / first article practices.
• Applicable experience in metallic and composite fabrication (machining, sheet metal, and composites), sub-assembly, major assembly, and systems integration.
• Proven leadership and customer relationship management skills.
• Previous Lockheed Supply Chain/ Supplier Quality experience.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
