The Aerostructure Product Center’s Industrial Engineering Team at Sikorsky is committed to driving manufacturing excellence by optimizing processes and improving operational efficiencies. We focus on Blackhawk derivative airframes and components, ensuring cost-effective and efficient production methods to meet the evolving demands of our aerospace programs.

THE WORK

As an Industrial Engineer, you will provide essential support to Sikorsky’s manufacturing operations through various analyses, including methods analysis, labor performance studies, standard data development, and cost estimating. Your role will also involve conducting man-loading, capacity and tool-rate analyses, workflow optimization, and make vs. buy studies to identify and implement efficiency improvements. You will utilize advanced software tools such as Tableau and Microsoft Office to track and report on manufacturing labor costs, production metrics, and identify areas for improvement. Collaborating with Operations Leadership, you will contribute to the development and implementation of plans that revise operating methods, introduce new technologies and methodologies, and modify facilities to enhance productivity. Additionally, you will analyze production layouts to ensure they align with future production needs and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

You excel at problem-solving, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and have experience using software tools like Tableau and Microsoft Office for reporting and analysis. You are driven to make a tangible impact on production processes, ensuring high standards of cost, schedule, and quality are met.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
-Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation), particularly with Production Operations and Program Offices
Desired Skills:
-Experience in Manufacturing/Union environment with shop floor experience
-Experience with Analytical and Project Planning Tools including MS Office suite of tools. Tableau (SQL equivalent) & SAP software experience a plus.
-Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize assignments
-Greenbelt Certified a plus – experience leading process improvement activities
-Earned Value Management (EVM), an understanding of Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and Cost Performance Index (CPI) a plus

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
