The NGG Operations and Sustainment Systems Architect plays a critical role in defining and optimizing the O&S team as it works through the integration phase of the Next Gen Geo launch and subsequent sustainment, driving business excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will develop, maintain, and implement processes and procedures to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance performance. This entails:
• Collaborating with stakeholders, including functional leads across NGG, and acting as a technical lead to the O&S team
• Providing expert guidance and support on processes and procedures
• Conducting analysis to identify areas for improvement and developing solutions to address them
• Developing and maintaining roadmaps for process improvements aligned with company goals
• Coordinating with cross-functional teams for successful process change implementations
• Developing and delivering training programs, and providing expertise for audits, assessments, and continuous monitoring activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies

As the NGG Operations and Sustainment Systems Architect, you will play a critical role in driving business excellence and ensuring the success of the O&S team through the Next Gen Geo launch and subsequent sustainment efforts.
Basic Qualifications:
-Strong background in RedHat Linux administration
-Expertise in OPIR LEOT preparation and execution
-Expertise in virtualization configuration, deployment, and maintenance (ESXi, vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, VxRails), RedHat Identity Management, networking (VLAN & firewall setup), and general VM building
-Technical expert on the NGG NIO system
-Expert in NGG Ground internal and external interfaces, physical and logical interfaces, network configurations, and downstream software
-Experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes
-Familiarization with MeshONE-Terrestrial data transport a plus
-Familiarization with Veeam backup solution a plus
-Experience with NextGen Interim Operations and Forge interfaces
-Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team through technical challenges
-Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
-Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
-Knowledge/experience with system troubleshooting
-Knowledge/experience with hardware engineering
Desired Skills:
-Strong communication skills and experience with building working relationships across internal and external teams
-Demonstrated Systems Thinking, including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities, establish and maintain a big picture mindset, and assess decision impacts
-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.
-Background in technology, engineering, software, hardware, system, or network administration
-Ability to travel to install sites; experience with onsite/lab installation
-System documentation and program lifecycle experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $134,000 - $236,325. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
