Description:THE WORK
This position has responsibility for management of business development and program growth initiatives for the Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Line of Business. Reports to Business Development Management supporting the ASW Market Segment. Consults with program managers and senior management located in both Manassas Virginia and West Palm Beach Florida facilities and provides advice and strategic market direction to leadership regarding new business and program growth initiatives. There will also be travel on a regular basis to the West Palm Beach and Manassas facilities. The position will champion continuous improvement to business development activities that will enable the business area to find and secure new sources of revenue to maintain/improve current revenue streams. Responsible for maintaining an external undersea technology perspective. Will build successful working relationships with customers and other Lockheed Martin organizations.

Basic Qualifications:
Working knowledge related to planning and execution of new business and program growth activities including opportunity assessment, capture management, competitive assessment and positioning, teaming/subcontracting strategy, and customer relationship development. Experience developing communications plans up to and including senior internal management. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of, and recent experience with, DoD USN acquisition programs and close relationships with USN senior leadership including resource sponsors, acquisition officers, warfare centers, research and development organizations, and operational communities related to Undersea Warfare, specifically the Subsea and Seabed Warfare (SSW) mission set. Additionally operational experience in the SSW domain to include but not limited to platforms (e.g., submarines, Un-crewed Undersea Vehicles, Remotely Operated Vehicles, Manned Combat Submersibles), sensors, effectors and command and control is required.
Desired Skills:
Experience identifying resource requirements for new business and program growth pursuits. Proven ability to coordinate activities with other internal departments that are identifying/implementing business development projects. Willingness to represent Lockheed Martin in key customer meetings and subcontractor/teammate meetings. Ability to manage multiple efforts simultaneously is required. Knowledge and experience in the DoD Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution process (PPBE), specifically analyzing Defense Budget Materials is a plus.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $105,000 - $201,100. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
