THE WORK

You will be part of the Aegis Test Team
supporting Aegis Combat Systems Ship
Installation, Test, and activation of the newest
destroyers being built for the Navy in Bath,
Maine.
- Primary responsibility centers around the
installation, test and repair of Combat System
equipment on destroyers being built in Bath,
Maine.
- Will perform duties as an AEGIS Computer
Network Technician (ACNT) providing Computer
and Display Systems maintenance support
aboard AEGIS Destroyers as a Team Member on
the AEGIS Test Team (ATT). Selected applicant
will directly interface with other technicians and
engineers to provide effective and timely
reconciliation of hardware, software, and
network challenges and provide training to ships
force on the operation and maintenance of new
baseline Aegis equipment.
- Position requires shift
work, brief at-sea periods and periodic travel
supporting assessments, fleet emergent
requirements and equipment installation events
and issues.
- US Citizenship is required. Candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position.

Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in AEGIS Combat Systems as an
AEGIS Computer / Display / ACNT technician
with a thorough understanding of Baseline 9
equipment and/or applicable training in other
military services.
- UNIX-based open architecture experience and
its application to the U.S. NAVY Aegis Computing
Infrastructure (ACI)
- Familiarity with hardware, software, network
test equipment used to evaluate and correct
operational failures (i.e. fiber optic testers,
multimeter's, o-scopes).
-25-35% travel will be required and can be
expected in support of AEGIS Modernization
availabilities conducted at locations outside of
Bath, ME
- Position requires frequent work in shipyard industrial environments as well as on naval vessels, both underway and in port. Physical ability to traverse steep ladders and stairs, as well as working in confined spaces, is a requirement.
- US Citizenship is required. Candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of or experience in other
functional equipment areas of the Aegis Weapon
System to include UYQ-70 Display equipment,
ORTS MK 9 Mod 1 or DTS-1, LAN architecture,
routers, CEC, BFTT, COTS-based processing
systems used onboard AEGIS Ships or other
military UNIX/LINUX based equipment
- Ability to conduct fiber optic light loss
measurements and troubleshoot fiber using
approved Navy test equipment and procedures.
Experience with building and testing fiber optics
termini
- Ability to understand LINUX/UNIX based
program commands and local area network(LAN)
theory
-Thorough understanding of previous baselines
like 5, 6.3, 7.1, 7.1R, ACB08.
- Experience with testing of fiber optics cables
- Working knowledge of Ethernet LAN
technology
- Thorough understanding of US Navy preventive
and corrective maintenance and proficiency in
reading technical documents

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
