Lockheed Martin MFC is seeking a Component Engineer to ensure the quality of the components on complex weapon’s systems that help ensure our nation’s defense.

In this critical role, you would lend your expertise in support of the THAAD and PAC-3 programs with emphasis on electrical component specifications, military standards and performance specification for Electrical, Electronic and Electro-Mechanical (EEE) components.

The position is responsible for ensuring the
quality of products transitioning from
development to production through evaluation of
design assurance activities and implementation
of production process methodology to prevent
impacts to production velocity and quality.

Candidate needs to have a thorough knowledge
and understanding of manufacturing quality
requirements and be able to evaluate the
application of those requirements toward
transitioning product, develop plans and
solutions to obstacles that may impact successful
transition at the component, sub-assembly and
final assembly levels.
Basic Qualifications:
BS degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
or equivalent experience / combined education in this field

Must have the ability to obtain a Secret security
clearance

Experience in electrical component failure
analysis

Demonstrated problem solving skills, including
Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action
Planning

Experience in microelectronics fabrication and
test or equivalent experience

Able to develop and apply quality test and
inspection methods to turn materials into
products

Ability to interpret drawings, specifications,
contracts that will enable development and
review of QE processes, and related performance
metrics

Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring
diagrams, product / performance specifications
and other systems integration technical data

Ability to analyze and resolve process issues
varying from basic to very complex

Effective interpersonal skills, including team
building and collaboration

Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office
applications including Access

Effective communication skills - written, oral,
listening, presentation and technical writing

Ability to work independently with minimal direct
supervision in a fast- paced environment

Must be able to travel domestically 30%
Desired Skills:
STEM degree at bachelors level or higher preferred

Familiar with Military Standards 883 and 750

Familiar with MIL-PERF 38534, 38535, 19500

Demonstrated basic understanding of audit
techniques

Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
certification, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
(CQE) and / or Certified Quality Improvement
Associate (CQIA)

SAP Application Experience: QNOTES, etc.
Advanced AS9100 Interpretation/application
skills

Experience working effectively in a Matrix
Management Environment

Experience with Product Development Process
(PDP) Material Review Board (MRB) experience
Machine shop or electronics manufacturing
inspection experience

Production Parts Approval Process (PPAP)
experience
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
