Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Engineer for a position based in Archbald, PA. The position requires mechanical or quality engineering experience developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products.



What You Will Be Doing
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Review documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.
• Support Integrated Product Teams and various production sites with reviews of quality data on yields, rework, scrap, and non-conformance aging.
• Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex.
• Attends and leads program corrective action meeting, identifies trends, assists in problem resolution, and ensures responsible parties meet commitments.
• Participates as an active member of Material Review Boards (MRB) and Failure Review Boards which includes dispositioning non-conforming hardware, identifying hardware containment requirements, identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.
• Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001/AS9100/AS9102.
• Evaluate the design assurance activities and implementation of production process methodology to prevent impacts to production velocity and quality.
• Interfaces with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality related issues.
• Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.
• Makes the final decision on acceptability of product.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
STEM degree at Bachelors level or higher.

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Experience developing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products.

Able to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and able to translate into work instruction.

Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex.

Experience in disposition of non-conforming products.

Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement.

Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management.

Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Demonstrated Presentation skills.

Ability to travel.

Ability to pass visual acuity and color perception exam.

US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.

ASQ CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and / or CQIA (Certified Quality Improvement Associate).

SAP Application Experience.

IPC/J-STD, GD&T familiarity.

First Article Inspection (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 experience.

Special Process Engineering Experience.

Material Review Board (MRB) experience.

Experience with use of inspection gages and measuring equipment.

Knowledge and understanding of electrical and mechanical blueprint reading, critical design attributes and auditing/surveying capabilities.

Experience working with Government customers.

Audit, Process Line Verification and/or Hardware Quality Assessment experience.

Effective Communication Skills: Written, Oral, Listening, Technical Writing.

Effective interpersonal skills, including Team building and Collaboration.

Familiarity with AS9100, ISO9001 and NQA-1/10CFR50 Appendix B.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
