Principle Cloud Software Engineer - Clearance Required

THE WORK
TKO provides systems engineering, software development, data science and cloud development and engineering services to the Cyber Infrastructure Solutions customer. The services enable the Data Transformation, Malware Analysis, and Cyber Threat Intelligence processing and sharing capabilities for the customer, fulfilling mission objectives and offering actionable information to detect and mitigate cyber threats. The contract has several locations in Maryland and a small contingent in Texas.

WHO YOU ARE
• You are a Principle Cloud Software Engineer who will support the re-engineering of a deployable defensive sensor platform to a cloud-based, containerized solution. The platform uses FOSS, COTS, and GOTS components that perform active and passive sensor operations in support of network defense.
• You will utilize common tools like Puppet, Splunk, NiFi, Bro/Zeek, Snort, etc. to configure, collect, and export sensor data.

Basic Qualifications:
• B.S. degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus Twenty (20) years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

• Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Required Skills/Experience:
• Strong understanding of cloud environments, to include development, test, and production.
• Ability to provide cloud software development/engineering services to include requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution
• Experience deploying operational systems and applications in a cloud environment
• Experience with common commercial cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or similar)
• Experience with configuration management & automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet
Desired Skills:
• Hands-on experience with Container orchestration and scaling with Docker, Kubernetes, and implementation of analysis/logging/monitoring using ELK and Splunk
• Understanding of cross-domain dataflow management
• Experience configuring and developing in a CI/CD environment
• Experience with software-based network devices
• Cloud networking experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $159,600 - $305,900. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
