Leadership Development Program

ENGINEERING LDP

This program offers a variety of hands-on assignments and other experiences to help develop your technical skills and gain a broad picture of Lockheed Martin as a whole and the scope of its engineering presence. The objective is to prepare you to compete to become a future technical leader with us.

Program details.
• 3 years with 3 - 4 rotational assignments that are designed to expose you to a range of challenges, concepts, and state-of-the-art technologies.

Who can participate?
• Entry-level hires as well as engineers who have a few years of experience behind them. Most locations require at least one year of demonstrated performance before being considered for the program.
• ELDP candidates possess: a good academic record and a degree in engineering or science; demonstrated work ethic, sustained high performance and leadership potential; team orientation; excellent communication and problem solving skills.

Program highlights.
• Jumpstart to career development - enter an engineering Master's program at a local university or online with the opportunity to complete your technical Master's degree at company expense.
• Coaching, mentoring, and training by some of our best technical and business leaders.
• Attendance at Leadership Development Conferences - enabling you to connect with individuals from various Lockheed Martin businesses and with participants from other LDPs.
• The opportunity to develop a cross-business network of contacts - extending the various business, program, and geographical possibilities that may be available to you throughout your Lockheed Martin career.
