At our Moorestown and Syracuse facilities, you have a unique opportunity to work with the nation's most talented engineers in sustaining and developing the next generation of missile defense systems. Lockheed Martin is currently hiring for the AMDR, BMD, Space Fence and SEWIP programs.

Moorestown, NJ Programs:

Air & Missile Defense Radar (AMDR)
A scalable solid-state radar suite for future surface combatants. Comprised of an S-Band radar, an X-Band radar and a Radar Suite Controller (RSC), AMDR is intended to significantly enhance a ship's defensive capability against advanced anti-ship and ballistic missile threats.

Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD)
Aegis BMD uses the mobility of Aegis-equipped cruisers and destroyers to permit intercepts during the ascent, midcourse, and descent phases, as well as providing surveillance support to other elements of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). The Aegis BMD element of the nation's BMDS provides the capability for Aegis BMD-equipped ships to use hit-to-kill technology to intercept and destroy short- and medium-range ballistic missiles. Additionally, Aegis BMD-equipped ships provide surveillance and tracking of intercontinental ballistic missiles and work with other BMDS elements to provide advance warning for the defense of the nation, deployed U.S. forces, and allies.

Space Fence
A system of land-based S-Band radars and supporting operations centers that will detect and report on objects and debris orbiting the Earth. A leader in S-Band radar development and production, with more than 100 operational systems deployed worldwide, Lockheed Martin supports a range of critical space command and control programs and contributes to national-level space-related intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance. Under the contract, a Lockheed Martin-led industry team will perform prototyping, design, trade studies and analysis of potential system configurations, concluding with a system design review and final prototyping demonstration. The contract also includes site and facility surveys, and planning and development of net-centric approaches to integrate with the existing architecture of the SSN.

Syracuse, NY Program:

Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program Block 2 Upgrade (SEWIP)
This program will lay the groundwork for the upcoming competition for the Navy's next-generation electronic warfare system. Electronic warfare refers to the use - and denial of use - of the electromagnetic spectrum by a broad range of electronic technologies, including radar and other sensor systems. SEWIP BLK 2 will integrate systems that use common, multifunctional radio frequency equipment for use on future U.S. Navy destroyers, cruisers and aircraft carriers, as well as for backfits on existing vessels.
