Engineering Leadership Development Program (ELDP)

Our ELDP is designed to prepare you to compete to become a future technical leader at Lockheed Martin. During this 2 - 3 year program, you will complete 3 - 4 rotational assignments with the goal of exposing you to a variety of challenges, concepts and state-of-the-art technologies as well as coaching, mentoring and training by some of our best technical and business leaders.

The ELDP will help you develop a unique “big picture” perspective
of our company as a whole,
and the clear impact that innovative engineering
can have in our world.

Program highlights.
• To jumpstart career development, participants enter an engineering Master's program at a local university with the opportunity to complete a technical Master's degree at company expense.
• Additional technical training, usually on site, to broaden participants’ skills and expand their capabilities.
• Attendance at Leadership Development Conferences allow participants to connect with individuals from various Lockheed Martin businesses and with participants from other LDPs; finance, human resources, information systems, communications and operations.
• Participants have the opportunity to develop a cross-business network of contacts — extending the various business, program and geographical possibilities that may be available to them throughout their Lockheed Martin career.

Who can participate in the ELDP?
Individuals in our ELDP are entry-level hires of any age as well as engineers of any age who have a few years of experience behind them. Our ELDP candidates possess:
